SWYPE

SWYPE

The new way to type
Swype or your device’s Continuous Input function is a faster way of entering text on your phone or tablet. Instead of typing, you draw your finger or S Pen from letter to letter across the screen, lifting away at the end to reveal each word. The continuous action is better suited to touchscreens.

Automatic spacing
The function automatically inserts spaces between words, making it even easier to enter text.

Double letters
Although the function normally recognises double letters when they're needed, just looping or scribbling on a letter will tell Swype / Continuous Input that you want to double it.

Word choice list
Displays a list of possible choices when there are several possibilities for the word you're Swyping. You can keep Swyping to choose the first in the list, or drag your finger or S Pen and tap the correct choice.

Change words easily
Editing words is easy. Select from the word choice list, or if you don't see what you're looking for, just double-tap and re-Swype (or re-type) a replacement.

Create your Personal Dictionary
You can add, edit, or remove custom words in your Personal Dictionary. Your contacts are automatically imported.

Swype Gestures
Swype Gestures are keyboard shortcuts that allow you to perform common functions like using capitals, punctuation, selecting, and much more besides.
Swype or Continuous Input is pre-installed on your device
